Gatersleben Lecture: Ancient Environmental Genomics Initiative for Sustainability
During this talk Prof. Dr. Eske Willerslev will introduce the AEGIS project, which aims to improve the resilience of crops and cropping systems by using “nature’s” past solutions to climate change. The talk will cover: the rationale behind AEGIS, and introduction to Environmental DNA and Ancient DNA that constitutes the methodological backbone of AEGIS, as well as a few preliminary findings.
