The Leibniz Institute for Agricultural Engineering and Bioeconomy is a pioneer and a driver of bioeconomy research. We create the scientific foundation to transform agricultural, food, industrial, and energy systems into a comprehensive bio-based circular economy. We develop and integrate techniques, processes, and management strategies, effectively converging technologies to intelligently crosslink highly diverse bioeconomic production systems and to control them in a knowledge-based, adaptive, and largely automated manner. We conduct research in dialogue with society - knowledge-motivated and application-inspired.

For our working group Drying Technologyin the department of System Process Engineering, we are looking for a

Test Engineer (m/f/d) (100 %)

with a focus on measurement and automation technology

Your responsibilities

  • Development of control concepts for sensors and actuators
  • Development of control algorithms using preferably MATLAB, Python, …
  • Implementation mechanical and electronic hardware components
  • Creation of construction drawings with SolidWorks
  • Participation in scientific experiments, in particular drying experiments
  • Planning and management of measuring PCs with special software
  • Coordination of hardware and software procurement
  • Contact person for service companies

Your qualifications

  • University degree (Master, Bachelor, Diploma (FH)) in the field of measurement and automation technology, engineering, software development or comparable
  • Good knowledge of control technology, preferably MATLAB, Python
  • Good knowledge of spoken and written German and English
  • Working independently, personal commitment, reliability, solution-oriented action and teamwork skills
  • European driving license class B

About the position

Remuneration depends on your qualifications and professional experience up to salary group 10 TV-L. The position is full-time (100 %) and initially limited to 2 years, a permanent employment is anticipated.
