Research Assistant (m/f/d)

Your task:

The competence field „Material Cycles“ deals with the characterization of fibers and polymers for fiber-plastic composites (FRP) and recycled components, including biocomposites. The main characterization techniques used are thermal analysis, microscopy and computer tomography. The scientific work focuses on the use of renewable and recycled raw materials in high-performance FRP and the tracking of FRP cycles.

  • Scientific work on research projects with a focus on the investigation of biopolymers and  functional fillers
  • Acquisition of research projects
  • Presentation of research results at internal and external events
  • Supervising the research work of students

Your profil

  • You work analytically, precisely, in a structured manner and you´re very well organized and highly motivated
  • You develop customized solutions independently and creatively
  • You value open and clear communication
  • You are collegial/cooperative and are characterized by a high willingness to learn and perform
  • You have very good written and spoken German and English skills
  • You already have relevant experience with polymer composites and polymer chemistry
  • Knowledge of programming and statistics is desirable
