Project Manager (f/m/d) for EU doctoral network LUMIERE

Max Born Institute for Nonlinear Optics and Short Pulse Spectroscopy (MBI), Berlin

The Max-Born Institute for Nonlinear Optics and Short Pulse Spectroscopy (MBI) conducts basic research in the field of nonlinear optics and ultrafast dynamics arising from the interaction of light with matter and pursues applications that emerge from this research. It develops and uses ultra-fast and ultra-intense lasers and laser-driven short-pulse light sources in a broad spectral range in combination with methods of nonlinear spectroscopy. With its research, MBI fulfils a national mission and is an integral part of the international scientific community.

The Max-Born Institute invites applications for a Project Manager (f/m/d) for the EU-funded doctoral network. The EU doctoral network LUMIERE is dedicated to development of novel biomimetic photoswitches and investigation of their ultrafast dynamics by state-of-the-art experimental methods, such as time-resolved photoelectron spectroscopy and transient absorption spectroscopy. The network comprises nine research partners in several EU member and associated countries: Germany, France, Italy, Sweden, Czech Republic, UK. The network will employ 10 doctoral candidates and involves several associated partners including four commercial companies.
