The Leibniz Institute for Agricultural Engineering and Bioeconomy (ATB) is a pioneer and driver of bioeconomy research. We create scientific foundations for the transformation of agricultural, food, industrial and energy systems into a comprehensive bio-based circular economy. We develop and integrate technology, processes and management strategies in the sense of converging technologies in order to intelligently network highly diverse bioeconomic production systems and to control them in a knowledge-based, adaptive and largely automated manner. We conduct research in dialogue with society - motivated by knowledge and inspired by application.

Project-Coordination (m/f/d) in the sub-project

Innovation for Sustainability Transformation (50 %)

The overarching goal of the LeibnizLab project is to identify alternative transformation paths in the field of action and conflict "Biodiversity, Climate, Agriculture and Food" and to provide the necessary tools (including training modules, dashboards, policy papers, etc.). Various partners from the Leibniz Association are contributing their expertise (GIGA, IGZ, IÖR, IWM, PIK, SGN, TIB, ZALF, ZMT). The main focus of ATB is on the integration of digital tools to increase resource efficiency, product quality and traceability in an exemplary food value chain as well as on the investigation of the complex interplay between diversified crop production and biodiversity.

The position is assigned to the Leibniz Innovation Farm for Sustainable Bioeconomy (InnoHof) at ATB; ATB is contributing the InnoHof to the project as a research infrastructure. Close co-operation is planned with all ATB programme areas.

Your area of responsibility

  • Independent processing with the support of colleagues, coordination including documentation and reporting of the sub-project in the LeibnizLab Systemic Sustainability
  • Contribution to further work packages of the LeibnizLab according to the overall project description
  • Representing the project at international events (international travel by arrangement)
  • Organisation and support of own networking events
  • Integration of the InnoHof into the project, in coordination with its coordination team
  • Support and networking of existing specialist working groups at InnoHof
  • Project-related work on public relations and reporting at the ATB

Your qualification profile

  • Proven knowledge and experience in indicator development (machine-readable), sustainability assessment, digitalisation
  • Very good university degree, e.g. in a system, natural or engineering science, ideally with a doctorate, alternatively relevant professional experience
  • Desirable: Knowledge of
  • Technology mapping, digital twins
  • Diversified agriculture and agricultural systems, biodiversity, bioeconomy
  • Proven experience in project management and related tools
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills
  • Strong interest in inter- and transdisciplinary cooperation, very good communication skills, independent, planned and solution-orientated work, flexibility and reliability
  • EU-Driving licence class B

Remuneration will depend on your qualifications and professional experience up to pay grade 13 TV-L. The position has a working time of 50 % and is limited to 3 years.
