Pre-Doctoral Researchers (f/m/d) Center for Labor and Demographic Economics

Ifo Institute – Leibniz Institute for Economic Research at the University of Munich

The ifo Center for Labor and Demographic Economics is seeking a Pre-Doc (f/m/d) to work under the supervision of Helmut Rainer. This position involves engaging in scientific work on new and ongoing empirical projects in labor and family economics.

The role offers exposure to a wide range of economic research topics and methods, making it an excellent preparatory step for pursuing a doctorate in economics. Selected candidates will develop valuable skills in analyzing large data sets and gain experience in applied econometrics.

Utilizing theoretical analysis, modern econometrics, and diverse data sources, the Center explores unresolved questions in family and labor economics. The goal is to produce causally identified research findings that inform policymakers and the public about the cause-effect relationships underlying today’s most critical social issues
