Postdoctoral scientist (f/m/d) Functional Plant Structure

The newly established DFG Emmy Noether Research Group “Functional Plant Structure” at the IPK studies the mechanisms of barley stem elongation and grain yield determination.

Your tasks:

• Elucidating the morphology and anatomy patterns in barley stem ontogenesis
• Planning, supervising and analyzing large-scale omics data
• Characterizing genes for barley stem growth and yield performance
• Presenting and publishing results in conferences and scientific journals

Your qualifications and skills:

• You have a PhD in plant biology, agricultural science or any related fields
• You have experience in microscopy, cell biology and molecular biology
• Basic knowledge of bioinformatic pipelines and workflows such as R and Linux are highly desirable
