Two PhD positions and a Postdoc (f/m/d)

The PhD positions are available immediately for three years. We are flexible regarding the start date, and contract extensions are possible. The successful applicants will be accepted into a graduate school on the Göttingen campus.

The Social Neurobiology Lab investigates the neuronal basis of social connection in humans and non-human primates. We use behavioral testing and neuronal recordings.

One PhD project aims to examine the behavioral mechanisms of prosocial behavior and group cooperation in both marmosets and humans, funded by the MacLean-Erkelenz Foundation.

The second PhD project aims to investigate the behavioral mechanisms of social tie formation and cooperation in marmosets using automated behavioral video-tracking and behavioral testing. This position is funded by the European Research Council.

The postdoc position is offered as part of the Henriette Herz Scouting Program of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. The research topic is free, but should be within the remit of the lab’s interests. Please reach out to Dr. Baez-Mendoza with your CV and a cover letter.
